15/10 – Fantastic Resort
I booked a couple weeks here at Serene Sands. Little did I know that the place was so beautiful, the staff so friendly (I could tell we were not relatives, because of the different accents, but I sure got treated like family) and the location so peaceful that I would end up extending my stay over and over until I was there for five months!
The saltwater pool is so relaxing, the water is not annoying to my eyes, the deep azure tiles soak up the sun and heat it naturally, which heat it keeps well into the night, the mini-gym was equipped for the exercises I felt like doing on holidays, and the food, of course, was out of this world. I have never stayed in a nicer place. Even when full, it was fun, quiet, and peaceful. Maybe the large amounts of well-tended plants in the gardens absorb sound, who knows? The other guests were interesting and fun to hang out with, too, though they love golf much more than I do! Brian, Jimmy, and Ian, along with all the Thai staff made the place feel like a home, if only I had ever stayed in a home where the people were that friendly. It wasn’t some thin veneer they put on while tolerating me for money, they are just genuinely nice people. I found that when I paid for a room, it was for the room, so I could have my girlfriend over when she wanted, and she was made to feel welcome, too, a nice change from SOME hotels in Thailand!
My room faced the sunrise, and the beach is a beautiful setting for the blazing and amazing sunsets we had every night. One day in particular, the lighting illuminated the entire area with a deep, orange glow that I have never seen before. Great for pictures, and I have to explain that, yes, that is unfiltered. Whether you love golf, like the guys here, or want to explore Thailand, alone or as a couple or a large group, I can’t think of a better place to call home while you’re away.
10/10 – Fantastic Resort
My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Khun Rosa and Khun “P” (I could not remember her name) went out of their way to really take care of our needs as we brought along our little one year old tyke, Jaden. They brought in a baby cot and when that wasn’t the best, they were willing to get another small mattress for him. They also accomodated us in helping us with a little shopping detour on their free downtown shuttle. We absolutely loved their salt water pool as it was really clean and refreshing. Overall, a great time for us. We would recommend this for any small family.
9/10 – The Best Holiday Ever
From the airport I was picked up by a car organized, from the hotel and driven the 1 hr 15 min journey to the hotel, On arrival my bag was taken to my room as I was shown around the hotel, nice touch. The room was comfortable and clean as was the rest of the hotel ,and from the moment I arrived I was made to feel welcome and part of the ‘family? the staff all being part of the family atmosphere. Brian and Jim talked me through the local scene and although you are about 10 mins out of town transport in and out was never a problem. Golf was arranged and the quality of the courses are excellent. The pool is a decent size for doing lengths and the area is quiet and great for relaxing and just chilling out. The menu is extensive and the food good ,for a small hotel the Facilities are excellent I certainly expect to return next year.
10/10 – Perfect Service
I found Serene Sands to be a real oasis, far enough from the noisy bars of Pattaya and not too far from Bangkok. This was the cleanest place we stayed in Thailand and certainly the quietest – the great hideaway from noise and pollution. The food served at Serene Sands was delicious and Tom Yam and fresh grilled salmon were among the best I had. Staff made great effort to make our wedding anniversary special. Our dinner was served by the pool and, while the sunlight was spectacularly setting over the sea, we were even offered special Thai mosquito repellent that made the experience completely bite free. Unlike in the most of the bigger hotels we stayed in – massages here were superb and very reasonable priced – two hours of Thai traditional massage melted away every atom of stress caused by fighting Bangkok’s skilled scam-artists.
10/10 – So relaxed at Serene Sands
A wonderful place, run by wonderful people……..peaceful, relaxed, friendly, Delicious food, amazing massage, plenty to do, organised activites……. An oasis! Perfect place for those who want tranquility and relaxation – whilst being not far from the wild & fast paced Pattaya! 100 out of 10!
9/10 – Great Value for money
I really enjoyed staying at this beautiful and hospitable hotel with a small private beach, excellent swimming pool and very friendly staff. I would love to stay there again and would recommend it to anybody. Very good value for money. The gardern is very well maintained. Rooms with the seaview are great, fairly large and very cozy.
10/10 – Very nice people and a lovely resort
Serene sands is perfect for a relaxing holiday. Our deluxe room was well appointed including air con. sattelite t.v. and free security safe,although the shower was a bit fiddely to begin with.The view from our balcony of the lovely garden and sunset in the evening were really tranquil as we sat with a couple of drinks before heading out.The staff were very friendly and genuinely wanted to do their best to help us enjoy our stay. The breakfast was quite basic but enjoyable and plenty of it, the resturant menu was pretty varied and was good value for a hotel of this standard The hotel is situated around 6km from pattaya centre with a free shuttle running to and from the hotel twice a day. A taxi or bar bus should cost no more than 250-300 bhat around £5. The heart stopping journey down the sukumvit road is worth a fiver of any mans money. The two scottish guys who own the hotel Jim and Brian are very calm and approachable and Jim also gives free thai chi lessons for an hour each morning. All in all a great place to go if you want to really chill out and recharge yourself.
10/10 – GREAT, GREAT, GREAT!!!
Great hotel! Friendly, hospitable, relaxed atmosphere, like being a guest in someone’s home yet still having all the privacy you want. Kids loved it – lots of things to keep them entertained (Wii, fantastic swimming pool, games, pool table, books, TV in living room downstairs and a room for kids to watch videos etc so they’re not confined to the hotel room), lovely garden. Easy to get into town but it’s hard to drag yourself away from the peace of the hotel. Quiet at night so you’re guaranteed a great night’s sleep. A real oasis in the middle of an ordinary Thai neighbourhood. Great staff, very helpful with giving information on trips, transport, etc. Will definitely stay here again.
10/10 – Best yet in Thailand
Better than the best!! I stayed there for 4 days and this was the best part of my trip. Multilingual and friendly staff which is hard to find in thailand. Absolutely safe and 5 star service at an affordable prize. This is the first time when i am writing a review for any hotel but could not stop myself from writing. Pool table,swimming pool,private beach and absolutely fantastic rooms with free high speed internet. Food was also great and fresh. I would love to visit this place again.
10/10 – Wonderful Golf and a great location
Me and 8 friends stayed at the Serene Sands for 1 weeks golfing trip in February and the hotel made the holiday! Fabulous location 15 minutes out of town and within 30 minutes fo the golf courses. Great rooms, pool and the service was world class. They simply cannot do enough for you, but at the same time leaving you to enjoy your holiday. I would go back tomorrow if i could and will certianly be going back again. Thanks.

I have just returned from a weeks golfing holiday celebrating my 50th birthday at the Serene Sands Hotel. This place is just fantastic. Brian, his delightful wife Hindu, Jim and all the staff made us feel very welcome. they arranged everything from golf, transport, tour of Pattaya clubs, bars and restuarants. If you are going on a golfing trip to Thailand then this hotel is a must.
